The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all here consumers and enhance access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
